Day 1 & 2 - London

Day 1 - 27th April 2017
Spotted discounted tickets from Thai Airways to London (return tickets for PEN-BKK-LHR at RM2,770) last year, so Mei Chi and I decided to embark on this random trip of two to London for 1.5 weeks.
Excited for the trip!
We arrived London late evening, and by the time we collected our luggage, passed through immigration, bought our Oyster Card, took the Underground for 1.5 hours and then 30 minutes walk in cold weather to our accommodation, we were so exhausted and straight away KO-ed!
(Thank you Uncle HP & Jasmine for the accomodation! =D)

Day 2 - 28th April 2017
Our first stop was the Westminster Underground. We exited near the Westminster Bridge and had our first view of the iconic London Eye against what used to be London County Hall.

On the other side of the bridge is the Westminster Palace & Big Ben - which is my favourite building in London!

We walked along Westminster Bridge in the typical London's gloomy and slight drizzling weather!

We walked to the front of County Hall and were not interested in the attractions so we continued our journey towards the next bridge, Golden Jubilee Bridge.

We passed by the Whitehall Gardens and couldn't resist taking photos with the well kept gardens.

One round all the way back to Big Ben!

Then we headed to Westminster Abbey. There was a super long queue to enter the cathedral, so we skipped! LOL

Only took photos of the door! LOL

Spotted the statue of Sir Winston Churchill at the Parliament Square.

We decided to walk towards our next destination, so we walked along Whitehall Street and spotted many typical London phonebooth. Have to queue up for photos because it's such a touristy thingy to do! LOL

Also passed by 10 Downing Street and other government buildings. Had to take a photo with the obedient horse!

And random war memorials like this: The Women of World War II.

Finally reached Trafalgar Square! They were having an event the day before thus all the barricades in that area.

We entered the National Gallery, but only for awhile because we were so hungry by that time.

As we were super duper hungry, we decided to head to Burger & Lobster. We knew we needed big appetites for the meal and that seems to be the right time! We went to the branch in Leicester Square.

Two Asian girls with usually smaller appetite decided to order one pound lobster (half steam half grilled) and one 100g beef burger. Needless to say, we ate every inch of the lobster for 2.5 hours! LOL

With a full tummy, we headed to King's Cross Station for our Platform 9 3/4 photoshoot! Only realised I had a super blurry picture when I reach home. T____T

Then we headed towards Baker Street for some Sherlock sessions!

We went over to 221B Baker Street to the Sherlock Holmes Museum.

And then headed to the shooting address for the series Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch which actually uses 187 North Gower Street as 221B Baker Street. Next to it is Speedy's Sandwich Bar & Cafe! Too bad it was close. I read review that they serve good food!

Then we headed back to Leicester Square!

Visited the M&M's World

Also visited the largest Lego Store in the world, which is just directly opposite M&M's World.

So tempted to try the mosaic maker but so expensive!! £99 = RM560!!!!

We spent the rest of the evening walking leisurely along Leicester Square and also Chinatown which was situated in the same area.

Shall end this post with a picture that reminds me of home in Chinatown - DURIANS!! Selling at £11.99 per kilo!!!
